Delhi Weather Update – No Heatwave for 7 Days, Rain & Thunderstorm Alert Issued, Check Forecast
Delhi Weather Update- Monsoon has entered many states of the country. Rains across different parts of the country have brought relief from the scorching heat. Once again, Delhi-NCR’s weather is expected to change for the next 6 days. The Met Department has issued an alert for thunderstorms in various parts of the NCR, including Delhi, over the next 6 days. Heavy rain is forecast after June 28. People will get relief from the scorching heat. On the other hand, the southwest monsoon is expected to move in Gujarat, other parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar, and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next 3-4 days.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?
The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast that there is no scope for severe heat waves in Delhi and NCR. There will be no heat wave in Delhi. The maximum temperature may remain below 40 degrees Celsius over the next 7 days. Besides, the sky will be cloudy. Thunderstorms may also be accompanied by heavy rain. The rain will bring people much relief from the scorching heat.

Delhi Weather Forecast for the next 6 days?
- According to the Met department, the maximum temperature on June 25 will be 39 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be 27 degrees Celsius.
- The weather will become even more active on June 26. The maximum temperature can be recorded as high as 38 degrees.
- Cloudy movement will continue throughout the day on June 27, and light rain is also expected.
- The maximum temperature on June 28 can reach 40 degrees Celsius. This will be accompanied by strong winds.
- An alert has been issued for thunderstorms on June 29 and 30.
- According to the Met Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi on July 1 is likely to be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius.

Winds will blow at a speed of 60 km/h
The Met Department has issued a yellow alert for thundershowers and rain in various parts of Delhi-NCR during the next 24 hours. Wind speeds of 60 km/h can be recorded during the storm. The Met Department has also predicted partly cloudy skies.

Rain warning in these states
Heavy rainfall (7–20 cm) is expected along the West Coast, Northeast India, and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim this week, the Met Department said in its latest bulletin. Very heavy rain is also likely at some places. In addition, in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, heavy rains are expected on 27–29 June 2026. Rain is likely in Assam and Meghalaya on 28 June 2026.
An alert has been issued for isolated rains in eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and western Rajasthan from June 25 to July 1. Rain is likely to occur in western Uttar Pradesh from June 26 and June 29 to July 1 and in eastern Uttar Pradesh from June 25 to 29.
