Major accident in Mukundpur, Delhi: House collapsed after cylinder explosion, many people buried.
Delhi: A major accident took place on Tuesday morning in Mukundpur of Bhalswa Dairy area of the capital Delhi. After the LPG cylinder exploded, a house collapsed, causing chaos in the area. As soon as information about the incident was received, police, fire department and relief teams reached the spot.

According to the information, at around 9:37 in the morning, the fire department had received information about a loud explosion and house collapse in Street No. 1, Ishu Vihar of Mukundpur Phase-2. As soon as the information was received, several fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot and relief work was started. Preliminary investigation has revealed that a single storey house built in about 250 square yards collapsed due to the explosion of an LPG cylinder. Many people were present in the house at the time of the accident, which is said to include labor families.
So far, six people have been pulled out safely from the debris during the relief operation. Some people, including two women, have been injured, although most have suffered minor injuries. All the injured have been sent to BSA Hospital for treatment. Officials say that the work of removing debris is going on. At present, there is no possibility of any other person being trapped, yet the entire area is being investigated as a precaution. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people nearby due to the accident. Police and administration teams are present at the spot and a detailed investigation is being conducted into the cause of the incident.
