Delicious Boondi Raita At Home: In the summer season, if cold and tasty raita is served with food, then the whole meal becomes even more enjoyable. Bundi Raita is a dish which is prepared in a very short time and is liked by people of all ages. Its taste is mild sour, spicy and very refreshing.

Ingredients For Delicious Boondi Raita At Home

  • Curd – 2 cups (light sour)
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Boondi – 1 cup
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – ½ tsp
  • White salt – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  • Black pepper powder – ¼ tsp
  • Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Green coriander – a little (chopped)
  • Dry mint leaves – 10-12

Delicious Boondi Raita At Home (Preparation Method)

  • First of all, take curd in a bowl and beat it well for 1–2 minutes so that it becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Now add equal amount of water to curd and mix well. Keep in mind that the consistency of raita should be a little thin, because the boondi thickens it later.
  • Now add boondi in it and mix it well and leave it for 10-15 minutes so that the boondi swells and becomes soft.
  • Now add all the spices in it: Roasted cumin powder, black salt, white salt, red chilli, black pepper.
  • After this add finely chopped green chillies and green coriander and mix everything well.
  • Now add dry mint leaves by lightly crushing them. It adds a special aroma and flavor to the raita.
  • Mix everything well and your delicious Boondi Raita is ready. Let it cool and serve.

Tips for Perfect Boondi Raita

  • Curd It should always be fresh and slightly sour.
  • Do not keep the raita too thick, otherwise it will become very thick after adding boondi.
  • There is no need to soak the boondi separately.
  • Adding mint further enhances the taste.
