Konkani food is very famous all over the world. After the start of summer season, various traditional dishes are prepared in every village of Konkan. After eating traditional dishes, the mind is also satisfied. Kharwas is prepared using the milk obtained from the cow for 21 days after the birth of the cow in the house. Actually, everyone likes to eat this food. Earlier you may have had kharvas made from cow or cow milk but today we are going to share an easy recipe to make kharvas in authentic Konkani style using coconut milk. A dollop of soft and creamy coconut milk will melt easily in your mouth. Eat easily digestible light food during summer days. Apart from this, consumption of cold foods will help to reduce the increased heat in the body. Materials:
- Coconut milk
- Cornflour
- sugar
- Cardamom powder
- Dried rose petals
- dry fruits
Summer Special Recipe : To soothe the stomach, make cucumber-mint raita at home
Action:
- To make coconut milk kharwas, firstly, remove the wet coconut husk. Then add wet coconut pulp and a little water in the mixer bowl and grind it finely.
- Pour the prepared mixture on a cotton cloth and strain it to separate the milk. Remove the coconut milk from the mixer two to three times.
- Combine coconut milk, cornflour and sugar, cardamom powder in a pan and mix continuously with a spoon. After that, keep the kadai on the gas and keep mixing with a spoon.
- Due to this, there will be no lumps in the prepared mixture. After mixing all the ingredients properly on low flame, it will form a thick mixture.
- Grease the cake pan and pour the prepared mixture and set it properly. Then keep it in the fridge for 5 to 6 hours to really set.
- After fully set add dry rose petals and dry fruits for decoration and cut the vadas into desired shape.
- Wet coconut milk kharwas made in authentic Konkani style are ready.
