Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday announced various important works related to the development of the area and public interest in Banbasa of Champawat district. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the overall development of the border areas as well as solving the long-standing problems of the local people. In this sequence, four important announcements have been made for Banbasa and Tanakpur areas.

Religious tourism will also get a boost

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the process of regularizing the lessees of Category-1 'B' lease and land lease of Terai-Bhabhar State in the state will be taken as soon as possible. The lessees concerned are expected to get great relief from this. The Chief Minister said that under Sharda Corridor and Canal Corridor, the ancient and mythological temples of Banbasa and Tanakpur will be beautified and expanded. This will not only protect the religious and cultural heritage of the area but will also promote religious tourism.

Will pave the way for development of educational facilities

He A.P.J. Also announced to provide 2.01 hectare land for the expansion of Abdul Kalam Government Engineering College, Tanakpur. This will pave the way for the expansion of the institute and development of educational facilities for the students.

The Chief Minister announced to provide permanent and pucca houses to the citizens who have been living in kutcha and temporary buildings on government land for a long time under the Pradhan Mantri Shahri Awas Yojana under Banbasa and Tanakpur urban bodies. With this, families living in temporary housing for a long time will be able to get safe and better housing facilities.
