DIG gave strict instructions to police officers of all three districts regarding crime control.
With the aim of further improving crime control and law and order in Basti area, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Basti area, Mr. Sanjeev Tyagi held a monthly crime review seminar with the Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police of Basti, Siddharth Nagar and Sant Kabir Nagar districts in the regional office auditorium on Saturday.
During this, he reviewed the crimes and gave necessary directions to the officers. In the meeting, the DIG stressed on timely disposal of pending investigations and partial investigations on priority basis. He said that by taking effective preventive action against the criminals, 100 per cent arrest of gangsters, wanted criminals, declared criminals, District Badar and non-bailable warrant (NBW) accused should be ensured.
He directed to effectively curb incidents of theft and vehicle theft, stop cow smuggling, increase intensive checking at night and take prompt action in cases related to serious crimes, crimes against women, SC/ST Act and POCSO Act. The DIG asked the officers to take special vigilance regarding prevention of cyber crimes. He directed to take action under Cyber Action Plan, block mobile and IMEI numbers as much as possible, regular use and feeding of other portals including CCTNS, IGRS, NCRB, ICJS, CEIR.
In the review meeting, there was also discussion on making beat information effective, regular monitoring from the station in-charge and area officer level and quality disposal of Chief Minister Janata Darshan, Public Grievance Review Portal and other high level complaints. The DIG gave instructions to make Mission Shakti Centers and Family Counseling Centers more effective by giving priority to women’s safety. Also asked to ensure 100% recovery of kidnapped women and missing people.
During the meeting, the progress of various operations including property confiscation under Gangster Act, action under Goonda Act, Operation Gangster, Operation Dahan was reviewed. He directed for speedy disposal of cases pending for more than 45 days. While reviewing the departmental work, the DIG gave instructions for speedy disposal of the cases related to pending departmental files, preliminary investigation, employment of deceased dependents and medical reimbursement.
Regarding the training of employees, asked to complete the pending training on Citrain and iGot app soon. Regarding the prevention of road accidents, he directed to prepare a traffic action plan and take effective action and run a special campaign to prevent drug abuse. Superintendent of Police Basti Dr. Yashveer Singh, Superintendent of Police Siddharthnagar Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, Superintendent of Police Sant Kabir Nagar Mr. Sandeep Kumar Meena, Additional Superintendent of Police and officers and employees of the regional office were present in the meeting.
