Director Ahmed Khan made a big revelation about the multi-starrer film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, 36 actors and 75 shifts were spent in shooting.

Mumbai Akshay Kumar’s upcoming adventure-comedy film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ continues to be in the headlines for its stellar cast. Ahmed Khan, the director of this must-awaited film, recently told in an interview that completing the shooting of such a big budget film with 36 lead actors was one of the biggest and tiring challenges of his career. Khan revealed in his statement that the shooting of this film was divided into a total of 75 shifts.

Each shift was of 8 hours, out of which 1 hour was set aside for lunch. He also told that there was a heavy presence on the set of 36 lead actors along with their personal managers, make-up artists, hair stylists and costume staff. Due to such huge crowd, about 40 minutes of time was wasted every time just in clearing the set for the shot, due to which it became very difficult to manage the shooting schedule.

CBFC imposed 18 cuts, got U/A 16+ certificate

Before release, the film also had to undergo the scrutiny of the Censor Board (Central Board of Film Certification). The board has given instructions to make about 18 cuts in the film. These cuts include some glamorous shots of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez as well as changes in some dialogues containing references to Kashmir. After these modifications the film has been issued a U/A 16+ certificate.

Akshay-Raveena pair will return after 22 years

Another major highlight of this film is the historic comeback of the iconic pair of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon on the big screen after decades. The pair will be seen sharing the screen together after 22 years. Apart from these, more than 30 veteran comedy actors of Bollywood including Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor are in lead roles in the film. This multi-starrer film is being released in theaters across the country on 26 June 2026.
