Assembly elections are to be held in many states early next year. These also include states like Punjab and Goa, from which Congress has high hopes. However, the Congress party is facing discord in both these states. In Punjab, the state leaders are not ready to accept the team announced by the high command. At the same time, in Goa, a high voltage drama took place in front of KC Venugopal. After this entire incident, questions are now being raised on Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal. The responsibility of organizing the Congress is on him but in a hushed voice the leaders are blaming him only.

What did Shamila Siddiqui accuse?

Shamila Siddiqui, former media coordinator of Goa Congress, wrote on social media, KC Venugopal had fixed a schedule to meet each worker separately. We appealed to him to allow the entire delegation to meet together. Shamila Siddiqui met KC Venugopal alone to demand this. During the meeting, Venugopal rejected the demand of meeting the entire delegation and expressed his displeasure by saying that when he is meeting the workers individually, does he want to create a ruckus by meeting the entire delegation?

Two leaders have been suspended from the party. When Venugopal wanted to know the reason for this, Shamila asked the reason for suddenly removing Patkar from the post. On which Venugopal said whether she is questioning the decision of the party leadership? After this, Venugopal allegedly asked Shamila to leave the room and said that he did not want to talk to her. After this Shamila also made many serious allegations.

Controversy continues over removal of Amit Patkar

Congress Party has recently appointed Girish Chodankar as the state president. He had taken this responsibility in place of Amit Patkar. Amit Patkar alleges that the high command took such a big decision without discussing with him. In 2022, the party suffered a crushing defeat under the leadership of Amit Chodantar. Since then a lot of controversy continues in the party. KC Venugopal himself had reached Goa to calm the controversy but a huge uproar broke out in front of him.

Leaders made allegations

Party’s Minority Department Chairman Wasim Khan created a ruckus in the presence of senior leader KC Venugopal by seriously accusing the party of ignoring minorities. As the dispute escalated, the atmosphere became tense and KC Venugopal himself was seen trying to pacify them. In the viral video, a Congress leader is seen taking him out. After this Wasim Khan left the meeting and came out. Talking to the media, he said, ‘If there is so much hatred towards minorities in Congress, then what is happening in Goa Congress? There is no respect for minorities here.
