The Walt Disney Company and TikTok have announced a new deal that will allow fans and content creators to make videos featuring popular characters from the company’s Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars brands, among others.
The collaboration, described as “a first-of-its-kind global deal,” was announced on Wednesday. A pilot program will launch in the US in the coming months before expanding to other markets. It will introduce a wide selection of handpicked “Disney-centric fan-created content from TikTok to the Disney+ app.”
Creators who participate in the program can create short-form videos featuring characters and iconic moments from all movies and shows from the production giant.

Under The Walt Disney Company’s latest agreement with TikTok, the social media platform will offer fans access to a plethora of content from Disney’s extensive catalog. This includes movies and shows from brands like Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. The deal focuses on “building stronger communities” with a shared experience together with TikTok.
The joint initiative will also offer exclusive perks and special rewards to standout creators. This includes access to exclusive events, career development pathways opportunities, and increased visibility.

This collaboration creates a new bridge between the stories we tell and the creativity they inspire, giving creators a bigger stage to share what they’ve made, and audiences more to discover on Disney+ every day.”
