District Boxing Championship: Players showed the power of punches, these players reached the finals

Lucknow, Read: In the semi-final matches played on Saturday, the second day of the first VKS (Vijay Kumar Sahu) Foundation Memorial District Boxing Championship, the players performed strongly and made it to the finals. The competition is being organized under the supervision of Boxing Association Lucknow in the Boxing Arena of KD Singh Babu Stadium.

In the day long competitions, Aarushi, Varnika, Anushka, Shagun, Shivani along with Ansh, Faiz, Yashdeep, Rishabh, Karan and Rehaan displayed excellent technique and strength and won their respective matches and got the ticket to the final. During the program, Mamta Charitable Trust Director Rajeev Mishra encouraged the players. Before the matches, a condolence meeting was organized to pay tribute to the demise of former national player and senior coach Naseem Qureshi.
Results of sub junior girls category

In 50 kg, Aarushi of Modern Academy Humble Khand defeated Yashasvi Shri Rawat of CMS Station Road. In 52kg, Varnika Mishra of APS defeated Resi, while Anushka Sharma of KD Singh Babu Stadium defeated Alija. In 57 kg, Sara Kalam of St. Mary’s and Apoorva Daksh of CMS Shalimar won and made it to the finals.

In other matches, Shagun in 36 kg, Ishika Awasthi in 44 kg, Aarushi Rai in 32 kg and Shivani Pathak in 40 kg won and entered the finals.
