District Magistrate paid tribute to the ideals of great men

Students and cultural groups of Navodaya Vidyalaya presented Gandhiji's favorite hymns.

The District Magistrate honored the winning players of the walk race, gave the message of self-reliance by spinning the charkha in Gandhi Ashram.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, the District Magistrate paid tribute to them by garlanding and offering floral tributes to the statues/portraits of great men in a program organized at the Collectorate. On this occasion, he remembered the ideals, thoughts and contribution of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri towards national service and inspired the people present to imbibe their ideals in their lives.

During the program organized in the Collectorate premises, students and cultural groups of Navodaya Vidyalaya gave an emotional presentation of the favorite hymns of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. A call was made to spread the message of truth, non-violence, cleanliness and goodwill to the people through hymns and cultural presentations.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the players who secured the first six positions in the walk race of 5 kilometer boys category and 3 kilometer girls category, organized by the District Sports Office at Eklavya Sports Stadium, were rewarded by the District Magistrate in a program organized at the Collectorate. The District Magistrate congratulated the winning players and encouraged them to continue performing better in sports and adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.

In the same sequence, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, the District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue and other officials and personnel of Gandhi Ashram etc. also paid tribute to the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding the statue/picture of him in Gandhi Ashram, Akbarpur. On this occasion, the message of self-reliance, simplicity, labor and national service was given by spinning the charkha.

Through the program, the message of spreading Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of truth, non-violence and cleanliness and Lal Bahadur Shastri's ideals of simplicity, devotion to duty and national service was given to the people.

On this occasion, District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Mrs. Jyotsna Bandhu and other officers and employees of the Collectorate paid tribute to the ideals of great men by garlanding their statues.
