Division of departments took place just hours after the formation of the new government in Bihar.

Within hours of the formation of the new government in Bihar, administrative work has been expedited by dividing departments. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has strengthened administrative control by keeping key and important departments of the government with him. At the same time, Deputy Chief Ministers have also been assigned departments as per their responsibilities.
According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat Department, the portfolios have been allocated among the ministers on the advice of the Chief Minister on the basis of the order of the Governor’s Secretariat in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 166(3) of the Constitution of India and in the light of Rules 6(1) and 7(1) of the Executive Rules. According to the notification issued, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has been given the responsibility of a total of 29 departments.
These include General Administration, Home, Cabinet Secretariat, Surveillance, Elections, Revenue and Land Reforms, Mines and Earth Elements, Urban Development and Housing, Health, Law, Industry, Road Construction, Agriculture, Minor Water Resources, Labor Resources and Migrant Workers Welfare, Youth, Employment and Skill Development, Tourism, Art and Culture, Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Disaster Management, Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare, Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare, Information Technology, Sports, Cooperation, Environment-Forest and Climate Change, Sugarcane Industry, Public Health engineering and Panchayati Raj departments are included. Apart from this, he will also take charge of all those departments which have not yet been allotted to any other minister.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary has been given the responsibility of a total of ten departments including Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Public Relations, Building Construction, Minority Welfare, Education, Science Technology and Technical Education, Rural Development, Transport and Higher Education. Through these departments, they will play an important role in strengthening the infrastructure and education sector of the state.
At the same time, the second Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav has been given the responsibility of a total of eight departments including Energy, Planning and Development, Prohibition, Excise and Registration, Finance, Commercial Tax, Social Welfare, Food and Consumer Protection and Rural Works. These departments are considered important in the economic condition of the state and the operation of social security schemes.
Political analysts believe that through this balanced distribution of departments, the government has indicated to accelerate administrative coordination and development works. The Chief Minister keeping a large number of portfolios with himself shows that the government wants to maintain direct control over decisions in the initial phase. It is clear from this decision of the new government that in the coming days, special emphasis will be given on the implementation of development plans and administrative reforms. Now everyone’s eyes are on how the new team fulfills its responsibilities and in what direction it takes the development of the state, as well as till when the cabinet expansion of the new government takes place. Now people’s eyes are also fixed on all these things.
