Division of portfolios among newly appointed ministers

Patna Bureau. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary distributed the portfolios among the ministers who took oath on Thursday. The most discussed issue was about former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar getting the health department. Whereas former Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha has been given the responsibility of Agriculture Ministry. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has kept the departments of General Administration, Home, Cabinet Secretariat, Surveillance, Election and Civil Aviation with him. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has got the Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Department, while Second Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav has been given the responsibility of Finance and Commercial-Tax Department.

Apart from this, Shravan Kumar has been entrusted with Rural Development and Public Relations, Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal with Revenue and Land Reforms, Leshi Singh with Building Construction, Ramkripal Yadav with Cooperative and Nitish Mishra with Urban Development and Housing Department. Ashok Chaudhary has been given Food and Consumer Protection, Madan Sahni with Prohibition Products and Registration, Renu Devi with Backward and Most Backward Class Welfare, Kumar Shailendra with Road Construction and Sheela Kumari with Science and Technology Department.

Along with this, Ms. Shreyasi Singh, Sports Department, Mohd. Jama Khan has been given the responsibility of Minority Welfare, Shailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal of Energy, Mithlesh Tiwari of Education and Deepak Prakash of Panchayati Raj Department. There is intense discussion in the political circles regarding the division of departments of the new cabinet. Especially many speculations are being made regarding the increasing role of Nishant Kumar in active politics.
