‘DMK cannot go with BJP’, why did Congress say this?

In such a situation, a big statement from the Congress has come amid speculations about Tamil Nadu’s main opposition party DMK joining the NDA.
On Friday, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that DMK will never go with BJP. Giving the reason behind this, he said that DMK has ideological differences with BJP, in such a situation there is no question of it joining BJP.

Why did such situations arise?
Actually, this situation has arisen because after the results of Tamil Nadu Assembly this year, Congress left the years-old alliance with DMK and joined Joseph Vijay’s new party TVK. She also became a partner in Chief Minister Vijay’s government.
BJP and DMK can never come together- Congress
Amid the ongoing dispute between the DMK-India alliance, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said, ‘BJP and DMK can never come together because their ideologies are different. It is true that DMK was not present in the India Alliance meeting on 8th. Let’s see what happens next.

‘Yes, we are supporting TVK’
He said, ‘Yes, we are supporting TVK. We also have two cabinet ministers in the Vijay government. We are in touch with DMK MPs and our talks are going on with them. DMK is still an opposition party. It is not a constituent of the ruling NDA. I have read Stalin’s statements and it is clear that there is no agreement between BJP and DMK. I am confident that when the time comes, DMK will stand against the delimitation bill.
