DM's surprise inspection exposed the education system of government schools

Supaul. The reality of the condition of education and basic facilities in government schools came to light during the surprise inspection of District Magistrate Sawan Kumar on Wednesday. The DM inspected the middle school Daparkha and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School located in the Municipal Council area. The District Magistrate expressed strong displeasure on finding chaos and negligence in Middle School Daparkha and directed the concerned officials to take action.

During inspection, neither bulbs nor fans were found in many classrooms of the school. The children were forced to study in the dark and extreme heat. Dirt was also found in the school premises and classrooms. On this, the DM severely reprimanded the headmaster and directed him to rectify the system immediately.

Teachers found missing after giving wrong application

During the inspection, the issue of absence of teachers in the school also came to light. Teachers Payal Kumari and Indu Kumari were found absent from school by filing wrong application for special leave. At the same time, teacher Sarita Kumari was found unauthorized absent without notice for a long time. Taking the matter seriously, the District Magistrate ordered action to suspend the three teachers. Mistakes were also found in the accounting of the amount of development item. If satisfactory response is not received, departmental action has been recommended against the headmaster.

Irregularities found in midday meal also

Serious irregularities also came to light during the inspection of mid-day meal in the school. The food being cooked was much less than the number of students recorded in the attendance register. Expressing displeasure on this, the District Magistrate strongly reprimanded the concerned officials and gave instructions to improve the system.

Computer class will start in Kasturba Vidyalaya

During the inspection of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, the District Magistrate talked to the girl students and got information about the arrangements of the school. He gave instructions to start computer classes immediately and maintain better cleanliness in the school.

Instructions to take action against black marketing of fertilizers

After the inspection, the District Magistrate held a meeting with officials of the sub-division administration and education department. He clearly said that negligence will not be tolerated at any level in education, health and administrative system. He directed to take strict action against those complaining about charging higher prices of fertilizers in the block area, progress in making ration cards, solar powered lights and those who compromise on quality in the construction of Panchayat government buildings.

District Magistrate Sawan Kumar said that suspension action is being taken against the three teachers who were missing by giving wrong applications and were absent from duty unauthorized. The District Education Officer has also been instructed to take strict departmental action against the headmaster. He said that negligence or irregularities in government schemes and works related to public interest will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
