Health Desk:
Getting a bug or mosquito suddenly in the ear can be an extremely disturbing and frightening experience. This can cause tingling, pain, ringing, ringing in the ear, or a crawling (walking) sensation. In such a situation, people often panic and start putting a finger, pin, matchstick or any other sharp object in the ear, which aggravates the problem instead of reducing it.
In such a situation, first of all, stay calm and do not take any hasty steps that may damage the eardrum. You can follow the steps below to safely remove the worm from the ear:
1. Tilt the ear to one side
Tilt your head down on the side of the ear where the worm has entered. Sometimes by gently moving the head, the worm comes out on its own. Try this process for a while.
2. Use warm oil

If you are absolutely sure that a worm has entered the ear and the eardrum is not ruptured (or damaged), you can put 2 drops of warm coconut oil, baby oil or olive oil in the ear. Adding oil either kills the worm or floats to the surface, which can be easily removed.
3. Avoid the use of sharp objects

in the ear Cotton Budcompletely avoid inserting hairpins, tweezers, matchsticks or any other sharp objects. Doing so can push the worm further into the ear, peel the inner ear skin and increase the risk of infection.
When should you seek immediate medical attention?

If the worm does not come out even after applying oil or tilting the head, then immediately go to the doctor (ENT specialist) without delay. Also, if there is blood or pus coming out of the ear or sudden loss of hearing, one should go straight to the hospital without resorting to any home remedies.
