Recent research by health experts has shockingly revealed that the cases of brain fog and memory loss are continuously increasing among young youth.

What is ‘brain fog’?

According to doctors, ‘brain fog’ is not a disease in itself, rather it is a symptom of lack of mental clarity, decline in concentration and tendency to forget. In this, the person takes more time than usual to think, remember and take decisions.
According to health experts, there is no genetic reason behind this problem, but the decline in our daily routine and eating habits is the main reason.

According to doctors, there are three main reasons for this problem, lack of nutrients, absence of essential vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids in the diet. Excessive mental stress, increasing pressure of studies, career and work. Deteriorating lifestyle: use of screen (mobile/laptop) till late night and incomplete sleep. Health experts say that if one improves one’s habits in the initial stages, one can get rid of this problem completely. For this, doctors have given three main suggestions:

Improve diet: Be sure to include walnuts, almonds, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and Omega-3 rich foods in your daily diet.

Reduce screen time and get enough sleep: Immediately change the habit of using the phone till late night. Getting 7 to 8 hours of quality (deep) sleep daily is essential to reset the brain. Stop using the phone one hour before sleeping at night. In that one hour you can read books or spend time with family.

Stress Management: Practice pranayama, yoga or mindfulness (meditation) for at least 15 minutes every day to reduce mental stress and increase focus.
