Do you often have heaviness and severe pain in your head? Don’t take it for granted

In today’s very modern, tough and diplomatically busy world, headache has become a very common thing. Often people ignore it completely considering it to be the pressure of office work, lack of sleep or general fatigue or take painkillers on their own without consulting any doctor. But if seen from a reporter’s point of view, experts in the medical world have now issued a very serious and big health alert on this. Doctors say that if there is a strange pressure, stiffness and continuous mild or severe pain on both sides of your head, then it is not an ordinary headache. This can be a very big and hidden symptom of TTH i.e. ‘tension-type headache’ in the language of medical science.

What is this TTH problem and why does it bother you? According to many leading doctors and neurologists, TTH (Tension-Type Headache) is the most common type of headache found around the world, but despite this, people know the least about it. When this pain arises, the victim feels as if someone has tied a very hard and iron strip or band tightly around his head. This pain starts from the back of your head and spreads to the muscles of the neck and shoulders. The biggest reason behind this is the excessive mental stress hidden in today’s bad lifestyle, sitting in wrong posture in front of the computer or mobile screen for hours and continuous heavy pressure on the eyes.

Attention Due to these big mistakes, this pain gradually becomes old and chronic. From the perspective of a neurologist, the biggest reason for the increase in this disease are some unseen mistakes in our daily life, which we do not even pay attention to. Lack of water in the body (dehydration), not eating food on time, excessive consumption of tea or coffee for a long time on an empty stomach and not getting adequate sleep of 7 to 8 hours at night are considered to be the biggest trigger points of this pain. When people repeatedly buy over the counter painkillers to get immediate relief from pain, their body becomes addicted to that medicine. The result is that as soon as the effect of the medicine wears off, this headache returns in a more aggressive and severe form than before, which is also called ‘medication overuse headache’.

Easy ways to avoid this maze of TTH and always keep your head light. If you also want to get rid of this painful problem forever and want to keep your health safe, then you will have to make some very simple but big strategic changes in your daily routine. First of all, make a habit of taking breaks from the screen in between your work and stretch your neck and shoulders a little every half hour. Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water throughout the day so that the body remains hydrated. To remove mental stress, do pranayam, meditation or deep breathing exercises for at least 15 minutes every morning. Even after all these changes, if your headache occurs more than two to three times a week, then contact a good doctor without any delay so that proper treatment can be started in time.
