After the death of an 82-year-old doctor in Kanpur, his son sat near the dead body for five days. When daughter and grandson arrived with Prasad, they were shocked by the foul smell coming from the house.
A very sad case has come to light in Kanpur. Here an 82 year old doctor died at home and his son sat near the dead body for several days. He did not even realize that his father had died. The incident came to light when the doctor’s daughter along with her son came to meet him after smelling a strong odor coming from the house. The father’s body was lying on the bed inside the flat and the son was present nearby. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was chaos in the family and the police was informed.
This case pertains to Aman Enclave Apartment located in Ratanpur of Panki police station area of Kanpur. Here, Dr. Prem Prakash Srivastava lived with his son Vijay Srivastava in flat number A-304. The doctor was 82 years old. They have three daughters Archana, Bhavana and Preeti. All three are married. His son lived with the doctor, who is said to be mentally unwell.
According to the information, Dr. Prem Prakash Srivastava had died several days ago. His body was lying on the bed inside the house and his son was present in the same flat. He remained sitting near his father, unaware of his death. During this time, a strong foul smell gradually started coming from the flat. People nearby also noticed the foul smell coming from the house, but information about the incident came to light when family members came to meet them.
Anmol, son of a doctor’s daughter Archana, had come to meet his maternal grandfather after buying a new car. After visiting the temple, he brought prasad to his maternal grandfather’s house with his mother. As soon as he entered the house, he felt a strong foul smell. After this, when he went inside, he saw Nana’s dead body lying on the bed. His maternal uncle Vijay Srivastava was sitting nearby. Seeing this scene the family members got scared and immediately informed the police.
On receiving the information, Panki police station reached the spot. The police took stock of the situation inside the flat and took information regarding the incident from the family members. After this the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Police are trying to find out when and under what circumstances the doctor died.
According to Panki Inspector Dinesh Singh Bisht, the doctor’s son has been described as mentally unwell. Initial information revealed that even after the death of the father, the son remained with him for several days and he could not know about the incident. The police sent the body for autopsy. The real cause of death will become clear only after the post mortem report comes.
This incident has shocked the family and the people around. After the death of the elderly doctor, no one in the house came to know about it for several days. Due to the son’s mental condition being unhealthy, he could not even inform anyone about the incident. At present the police is investigating the case on the basis of post mortem report and other facts.
