‘Don’t spread lies, we are all one…’, Amarinder Raja Vading said on Channi’s rebellion
Congress, which is making organizational changes, is once again going through a difficult phase. A rebellion-like situation is arising in the Pambaj Congress due to the recent incidents. Former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi is angry over not being made the state president. The Congress High Command has retained the current President Amarinder Singh Raja Warding as the State President of Punjab.
Former CM Charanjit Channi has opened a front against this decision of the Congress High Command. Supporters of Charanjit Singh Channi demand that their leader be handed over the command of Punjab Congress. Whereas, Congress has made Channi in-charge of the election campaign for the upcoming assembly elections of the state.
Channi showed a different path
On Monday, angry Charanjit Channi held a meeting with supporting leaders at his residence in Punjab. By sharing the video and pictures of this meeting on social media, the message of strength in unity was given. In a tweet, he said, ‘Congress leaders met me at my home and appealed to me to convey the sentiments and expectations of the people of Punjab to the high command.’
Amarinder Singh Raja said- everyone is one
Meanwhile, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding responded to Channi’s steps. He said, ‘Channi Saheb has only shared his photo and said that the meeting held in Morinda is going on. That meeting was not against anyone. As I have already told, the Morinda meeting was held at the house of our senior leader, respected Charanjit Singh Channi, who has been made the chairman of the campaign committee.
Raja Waring further said, ‘Many leaders went there to welcome him and meet him. Those who did not come may come in the coming days. Please do not hype the Morinda meeting. This was done to strengthen the Congress Party and today’s meeting is also for the same purpose. In the next few days you will see all the Congress leaders together on one platform.
