Patna: Bihar government has started a big campaign to provide health services to the people. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary launched the 'Test and Treatment Medical at Your Door' campaign on Wednesday. On this occasion, he flagged off the awareness chariot. The government aims to get health checkups of about 6 crore people of the state done near their homes through the campaign.
The campaign will run for three months
The 'Test and Treatment Medical at Your Door' campaign will be run in all the districts of Bihar for the next three months. Under this, health department teams will reach different areas and screen people. Special emphasis will be laid on timely identification of such diseases, which can be treated easily if detected in the early stages.
In the campaign, priority will be given to screening of serious diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer. Health workers will also inform people about prevention of diseases and the importance of regular checkups.
Health team will reach door to door
ANM and Asha workers will play an important role in this campaign. These health workers will go door-to-door to collect health related information from people and do screening as per need.
If a person shows signs of serious illness, he will be sent to the nearest health center or major hospital for further investigation and treatment. With this, efforts will be made to reduce the delay in identification of serious diseases.
Hospital arrangements will also be better
During the program organized at Urja Auditorium, Patna, the Chief Minister also announced the launch of 'Mission Kayakalp'. Under this, attention will be given to improving the arrangements of hospitals present in villages and rural areas.
Samrat Chaudhary has instructed all the District Magistrates to regularly monitor the campaign. Health Minister Nishant Kumar said that the aim of the campaign is to connect people with health services and awareness at their doorstep, so that the disease can be detected on time and patients can get early treatment. Through this initiative, the government is trying to provide primary health checkup to people living in rural and remote areas.
