Double attack of weather in UP: On one side there is havoc of severe heat wave and on the other side there is a big update regarding the arrival of monsoon.
Lucknow. These days two different colors of weather are being seen in Uttar Pradesh. While many areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh are in the grip of severe heat wave for the last 24 hours, on the other hand, a big news of relief has also come to the fore for the people suffering from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has made it clear that the entry of monsoon in the state is now very close. But before that people will have to face the harsh wrath of the sun for a few more days.
According to the latest information received from the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a strong possibility of severe heat wave conditions continuing in eastern Uttar Pradesh till June 28. This means that the intensity of sunlight and hot winds will not reduce here for the next three-four days. In fact, the mercury has been continuously rising in most parts of Uttar Pradesh for the last few days. The maximum temperature has been recorded between 40 to 43 degrees Celsius in many districts of the state. During this period, Banda district of Bundelkhand was the hottest, where the mercury was recorded at 43.8 degrees.
Dust storm and hurricane alert
On one hand, people are suffering from the heat, on the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued a serious warning for Western Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that on June 25, there is a possibility of a strong dust storm and strong storm in the areas of Western UP. During this time, the wind speed can be 50 to 60 kilometers per hour, which can increase to a gust of 70 kilometers per hour. After this, there is a possibility of strong winds and sporadic rain along with thunderstorms on June 29 and 30.
Monsoon will enter on this day, there will be heavy rain
Now let’s talk about the relief for which every UP resident is waiting. According to meteorologists, conditions are becoming completely favorable for the advance of monsoon into some parts of UP within the next 2 to 3 days. That means monsoon will knock in Uttar Pradesh in the last week of June. Scattered rain may occur at some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh during June 25 and June 28-29. After this, widespread heavy rains are expected in large parts of eastern UP on June 30, which will bring a huge drop in the temperature and provide complete relief to the people from the humid heat.
Agricultural scientists issued important advisory for farmers
In view of the changing weather patterns and extreme heat, agricultural scientists have also geared up. A special advisory has been issued for farmers of eastern Uttar Pradesh so that their crops do not get damaged. Scientists have advised that farmer brothers should keep doing light irrigation of their vegetable crops and fruit orchards as per the need. Along with this, to preserve the moisture of the soil in the fields, do mulching (covering the ground) with crop residues or straw, so that the water does not evaporate immediately due to strong sunlight.
Overall, the next 48 to 72 hours are going to be heavy for the people of Uttar Pradesh. On one hand, there is danger of storm, while on the other hand heat wave will also persist. However, by the end of June, monsoon showers will drench the state, which is expected to provide great relief to the general public and farmers.
