Due to continuous heavy rains, a situation of waterlogging has arisen in front of Imarti Colony located in Robertsganj. To resolve waterlogging, the Municipal Council is continuously carrying out the work of drainage of water through water supply pumps. Due to continuous rain, drainage work is not being done at the expected pace.
To take stock of the waterlogging situation, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Vagish Kumar Shukla and Tehsildar Sadar Amit Singh reached the spot, inspected the drainage system and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials.
District Magistrate Charchal Gaur has appealed to the residents of the district that due to continuous rains, some hindrances are being created in the drainage work. After the rain stops, the drainage work will be expedited. He has appealed to the local citizens to adopt a cooperative attitude and cooperate in the work being done by the administration in case of waterlogging.
The District Magistrate said that for a permanent solution to the problem of waterlogging in front of Imarti Colony, a proposal has been made to construct a drain from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF). After the rains end, the work of drain construction will be started, which will help in solving the problem of waterlogging in future.
The District Magistrate directed the concerned officers to continue the ongoing process of drainage through pumps and to provide relief to the citizens by using additional resources as per the need.
