Drishyam 3's storm at the box office, earnings cross Rs 177 crore in 2 days, Ajay Devgan eyes Rs 500 crore club

New Delhi. Ajay Devgan's film Drishyam 3 has made a tremendous run at the box office as soon as it was released. The third chapter of the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family is creating tremendous buzz among the audience. The wait of the audience associated with this franchise for a long time ended with the release of the film and the figures of the first two days have made it clear how much craze there is among the audience about the film. The film made a great start on the very first day of its release and made its place among the biggest openings of Ajay Devgan's career.

Drishyam 3 collected around Rs 62 crore nett on the first day of its release. The film took full advantage of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday and witnessed good footfall in the theatres. The film's worldwide earnings on the first day were reported to be around Rs 95 crore. After this, the film maintained its hold on Saturday also. Although there was some decline in the earnings on Saturday as compared to Friday, despite this the film made a net collection of around Rs 53.50 crore on the second day.

According to SACNL data, the film's net collection in India reached Rs 115.50 crore in two days. At the worldwide level, its earning has been around Rs 177.10 crore. That means the film has come very close to the Rs 200 crore mark in just two days. Sunday is considered very important for the film. If the film is successful in doing business of more than Rs 50 crore even on the third day, then in terms of worldwide collection it can quickly enter the Rs 200 crore club.

Drishyam 3 has left behind many big films in terms of earnings in two days. If we compare the two-day earnings of Hindi films, Dhurandhar The Revenge is at the top while Pushpa 2 is also present with excellent figures. Now Drishyam 3 has reached the third position in this list with around Rs 115.50 crore. Below this is Shahrukh Khan's Jawan which had a net collection of around Rs 111.73 crore in two days.

The biggest strength of the film is its story and its already built audience. After the success of the last two parts, the character of Vijay Salgaonkar has become a special identity among the people. This is the reason why there was a lot of curiosity about the third part even before its release. The initial response to the film has further increased the expectations of the producers.

  • Now the biggest question is whether Drishyam 3 will be able to become the first Rs 500 crore film of Ajay Devgan's career. At present, the pace at which the film is progressing will keep an eye on its collection in the coming days. After the decline in earnings on Saturday, Sunday's performance will play an important role in deciding how fast the film picks up its pace in the coming days. If the enthusiasm of the audience continues like this, then Drishyam 3 can write a new chapter for Ajay Devgan at the box office.
