DU Admission 2026: CSAS portal will open after CUET result

CSAS portal will soon be opened for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University. Students will be able to register after the result of CUET UG 2026. This year, there will be admission for about 70 thousand seats in 91 colleges of the university.

New Delhi: Delhi University has started preparations for the undergraduate admission process for the academic session 2026-27. Admission to regular undergraduate courses in the university will be granted only on the basis of CUET UG 2026 score. After the release of the results, students will be able to register on the CSAS portal and select the college and course of their choice.

Admission will be based on CUET score

This year also the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) will be mandatory for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University. The university has clarified that for admission to regular undergraduate courses, students must have a valid score of CUET UG 2026. There will be no direct admission system on the basis of 12th class marks.

This year CUET UG exam was conducted between 11th May to 31st May 2026. The exam was conducted in 306 cities across the country, in which around 15.6 lakh students registered. Now the candidates are waiting for the result to be released, after which the admission process will enter the next stage.

Registration will have to be done on CSAS portal

The admission process of Delhi University will be completely online. For this, students will have to go through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). DU CSAS Admission Portal Registration will have to be done on the portal. During registration students have to fill their personal information as well as select preferred colleges and courses.

Seat allotment will be done on the basis of preferences filled by the students and CUET score. Therefore students have been advised to enter their preferences carefully while choosing the college and course. The university will release the seat allotment list in various stages.

About 70 thousand seats in 91 colleges

This year, admission will be given on about 70 thousand seats in all the 91 affiliated colleges of Delhi University. The university is among the most prestigious higher educational institutions in the country, hence every year lakhs of students apply for admission here.

After the release of seat allotment list, students have to accept their seats within the stipulated time. After accepting the seat, the documents will be verified by the concerned college. The admission will be finalized only after all the necessary procedures are completed.

Application fee and important information

The university has also fixed the application fee for CSAS registration. General, OBC and EWS category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 250. Whereas for students of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Disabled (PwBD) category, this fee has been kept at Rs 100.

The university administration has advised the students to keep all their necessary documents ready before starting the application process, so that they do not face any problem at the time of registration.

CUET UG result may come soon

The final answer key of CUET UG 2026 has been released. After this now the exam results can be declared any time. As soon as the results are released, the CSAS portal of Delhi University will be activated and the admission process will formally start.

Students who are planning to take admission in Delhi University are advised to keep an eye on the official notifications of the University and complete the registration and other necessary processes on time. This can increase their chances of getting admission in their preferred college and course.
