Dwaine Pretorius, Gurbaz Power Guyana Amazon Warriors to Fifth Straight Win

An impressive spell from Dwaine Pretorius and a knock from Rahmanullah Gurbaz set up the Guyana Amazon Warriors’ 8-wicket victory against the Jamaica Kingsmen in Guyana.

Pretorius delivered a decent spell, returning with 2/20, while Gurbaz gave a solid start with 54 in the chase. Warriors extend their unbeaten streak in the ongoing tournament and retain the second spot in the CPL 2026 points table.

Pretorius bagged the first wicket, dismissing Kirk McKenzie for 1 run. He bagged his second wicket, dismissing Keacy Carty for 18 runs.

With Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan at the crease, Jamaica Kingsmen added 46 runs in the powerplay. Usman Khan added 18 runs while Paul added 15 runs.

With the dismissal of Powell was dismissed for a duck as Kingsmen lost 5 wickets for 83 runs. Sadaqat added 35 runs before his dismissal.
