Dyson’s latest Robot vacuum promises to make even the grubbiest of floors look spick and span. The all-new R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub is the British tech firm’s most advanced yet and comes packed with impressive cleaning features. One of its standout upgrades is an AI stain-detection system that combines UV light, AI vision, and green laser-like illumination to identify nearly 200 types of household substances. Once spotted, the robot sets about getting ride of the mess.
Even if it can’t clean up after the first attempt, it will keep going until it’s gone.
To help remove every last bit of grime, the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub comes with a self-cleaning wet roller that uses a 12-point hydration system.
Dyson says that technology continuously applies fresh water that’s heated to 70°C. That helps it simultaneously lift and remove stubborn stains, while self-cleaning itself on every rotation.
Other features include a full-width microfibre roller that extends 40mm to clean right up to the edges of the room, and there’s a powerful motor which boasts a 65 performance boost to help it pick up dust on both hard floors and carpets.
Another bonus is the neat charging dock, which automatically empties, cleans and recharges every time a clean is performed. That cuts down on mess and makes it’s ready to spring into action the next time you need it.
If any of that sounds exciting, you will face a bit of a wait to get one, with Dyson confirming it won’t arrive until next year. Price is also yet to be announced.
Luckily, there are two other models launching this month, including the Dyson R1 nurovi dry robot vacuum and Dyson R2 nurovi wash+dry robot vacuum.
The R1, which doesn’t mop, gets a powerful motor and redesigned side sweeper system for better dust pick up. The R2 with a mop, offers a new design with triangle pads with constant-width geometry to wash right into corners.
Explaning more, Dyson said: “Many robot mops rely on circular mopping pads, which struggle to reach right into the corners. Inspired by the Reuleaux triangle – a triangular shape formed from three circular arcs – the new Dyson Reuleaux triangle pads maintain a constant width, moving smoothly with a precise eccentric movement pattern to create a square cleaning finish that gets right into corners.”
The Nurovi R2 also features Dyson’s new Twin-capture system, which separates fine and coarse debris to maximise cleaning efficiency.
Finally, the Acoustic piezo sensor intelligently detects dust levels and floor types in real time, automatically adapting suction power and cleaning behaviour for optimal cleaning performance across different surfaces.
