Knews Desk- In the important meeting of INDIA alliance held in New Delhi on Monday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge made a scathing attack on the central government on many issues. In the meeting, leaders of opposition parties discussed the upcoming political strategy and national issues.
Kharge in his address said that the country’s foreign policy has been seriously affected and the government has failed on many important fronts. He alleged that India’s global position has weakened due to the government’s policies. The Congress President also raised questions regarding the election process. Referring to the Special Intensive Review (SIR) process, he claimed that this could affect the voting rights of crores of people. He called it a matter of concern for the democratic system.
The issue of NEET exam also figured prominently in the meeting. Kharge has earlier also raised questions on the central government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) over alleged irregularities and paper leak cases in the NEET exam. He reiterated the demand for transparency and accountability in the examination system. Apart from this, opposition leaders also discussed issues like unemployment, inflation, problems of farmers and independence of constitutional institutions. In the meeting, emphasis was laid on preparing a common strategy to corner the government.
This meeting of INDIA alliance is being considered very important in terms of upcoming election preparations and opposition unity. The leaders attending the meeting resolved to jointly go among the public against the Central Government and raise various public interest issues prominently.
