Eid ul-Adha: Many leaders including President Murmu, PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi congratulated the countrymen on Bakrid.

Eid ul-Adha: Today the festival of Bakrid i.e. Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated across the country. It is one of the major festivals of Muslim religion. Which is mainly celebrated in memory of sacrifice and unwavering faith, dedication and loyalty towards Allah. On this occasion, people of Muslim community will gather in mosques, dargahs and madrassas in different cities and offer namaz. At the same time, many leaders including President Draupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi have congratulated the countrymen on Bakrid.

On the occasion of Bakrid, President Draupadi Murmu wrote on social media platform PM Modi wrote, “Happy Eid-ul-Azha! May this occasion deepen the spirit of brotherhood and happiness in our society. Praying for everyone’s success and good health.”

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi wrote in his ex-post, “Wishing you and your family a very happy Bakrid. May your home be filled with love and affection today. Eid Mubarak.” Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote, “The festival of Eid-ul-Azha reflects the eternal virtues of sacrifice, faith, compassion and forgiveness. May this auspicious occasion inspire us to deepen the spirit of brotherhood, strengthen the bonds of unity and work together towards building a society whose foundation is based on peace, harmony and shared progress.
