Eight classes running in five rooms, children’s education being affected due to lack of resources.

Jagdishpur (Bhagalpur) – Due to lack of basic facilities in the middle school Bhawanipur (Deshari) under Jagdishpur block, the education of children is being affected. The school teaches classes 1 to 8, but only five rooms are available in the entire school. Due to shortage of rooms, students of two to three classes are being taught sitting together in the same room, due to which the teaching system is being disrupted.

Local parents say that when students from different classes sit in the same room, teachers are not able to pay equal attention to all the classes. This is adversely affecting the quality of children’s education and learning.

There is also said to be a shortage of English teachers in the school. Parents say that in the present times, English education has special importance, but due to lack of teachers, the education of the students is getting affected.
Apart from this, due to lack of proper arrangement of toilets in the school, students, especially girls, have to face a lot of problems. Villagers and parents have demanded the education department to construct additional rooms in the school, appoint an English teacher and provide other basic facilities including toilets.

Local people say that if these problems are not resolved in time, it will have a direct impact on the future of children and the quality of their education. Now it remains to be seen how long the education department and the local administration take necessary steps in this direction.
