Eight Killed As Speeding Car Rams Crowd Aiding Accident Victims In UP
Ambedkar Nagar: A horrific late-night accident in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, turned a local rescue attempt into a tragedy, leaving eight people dead.
The incident took place at approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday along the Jalalpur-Akbarpur road near Ashrafpur Bhua village, where bystanders were struck by a speeding vehicle while assisting victims of an earlier motorcycle collision.
Six victims were declared dead at a community health centre shortly after the collision, while two others who were initially referred to the district hospital and subsequently moved to a specialized unit in Tanda also passed away during treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Kaifi (32), Uttam Kumar (24), Aditya Kumar (25), Lalchand (24), Raju Gupta (32), and Chhotu, while the identities of two additional victims remain unconfirmed.
The driver responsible for the crash fled the scene, prompting police to initiate a manhunt and a detailed investigation into the incident.
