While investigating the incident of theft of an electric motor from the house of journalist Rashid Ahmed located in front of the CRPF camp, the police inspected the spot and interrogated some suspicious persons. According to the information, on the night of August 18, an electric motor was stolen from the house of journalist Rashid Ahmed. When the theft was discovered the next morning, he searched extensively at his level, but could not find any trace of the motor.
After this he lodged an FIR in Ratabari police station. The responsibility of investigating the case lies with ASI S.M. Sharma was handed over. Meanwhile, after the news of the incident was published in several national level newspapers including national Hindi daily Read, the police intensified the investigation. On Thursday, ASI S.M. A police team led by Sharma reached the spot and inspected the spot and investigated various aspects. After this, on Friday also policeman Nurul Islam along with investigating officer S.M. Sharma again visited the spot.
He re-inspected the incident site and investigated various aspects related to the case. Some suspicious persons were also interrogated. It is noteworthy that due to increase in incidents of theft in Sugarmill Colony area in the last few days, there is an atmosphere of concern among the local people. Within just one week, complaints of theft of electric motors have been received from three consecutive houses. Apart from this, local people have also said that there have been incidents of theft of small items from someone's tube well and someone's house.
