Electric Scooter: Yamaha Aerox E electric scooter launched; Know price, range and features
Electric Scooter: Yamaha has launched the new Yamaha Aerox E electric scooter in India. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 2.82 lakh (Delhi). The company had introduced this electric maxi-scooter globally last year and now it has been made available for sale in select cities of India. In the Indian market, there will be competition from premium electric scooters like Ather 450 Apex, TVS X and Ola S1 Pro.
Powerful motor and range of 117km
- Yamaha Aerox E has two 1.5kWh removable battery packs. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) installed in it produces maximum power of 9.4kW (12.6hp) and torque of 48Nm.
- According to the company, this electric scooter is capable of giving a range of up to 117 kilometers (IDC) on full charge. While activating the Boost feature in Power Mode, its top speed reaches 95.5kmph, due to which it claims to give better performance for both city and highway.
How much time will it take to charge?
It takes approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes for the Aerox E’s battery to charge from 0 to 100%. If both the batteries are charged simultaneously, they can be fully charged in about 6 hours 20 minutes.
Design and dimensions
- In terms of design, the new Yamaha Aerox E looks quite similar to the Aerox 155 petrol model. However, the biggest change comes in the form of a full-colour TFT instrument display, which has replaced the old LCD console.
- The scooter retains the same sporty maxi-scooter styling, sharp body panels and aggressive front design. Its wheelbase is 1,360mm and curb weight is 139kg, which is about 13kg more than the petrol model.
- Yamaha Aerox E has 14-inch alloy wheels. It gets 110/80 section tires at the front and 140/70 section at the rear, which provide better grip and stability.
full of features
Yamaha has equipped Aerox E with many advanced features. It has three riding modes like Economy, Standard and Power. Apart from this, Boost Mode, Reverse Mode, Traction Control System (TCS) and Single-Channel ABS are also provided.
Other features include Yamaha Y-Connect with Bluetooth connectivity, TFT instrument cluster, LED headlight, LED taillight and front-rear disc brake, making it a premium electric scooter in its segment.
