Electricity remains cut off at night but is restored in the morning.

In the areas connected to Jalalpur feeder of Dhanrua block area of ​​Patna district, there is increasing resentment among the consumers regarding the complaint of interruption in power supply at night for the last one week. Local people allege that electricity is cut at around 11 pm in the night and the supply is restored at around 6 am in the morning, due to which people are facing a lot of problems.

Villagers say that due to continuous power cuts, the problems of children, elderly and patients have increased in the scorching heat. He alleges that when the SDO and JE of the electricity department are called for complaints, most of the time their calls are not received. People say that if the officials do not pick up the phone even during any emergency or electrical accident, then how will timely relief and rescue be possible.

Some villagers also alleged that officials are in collusion with local electronic shops and deliberately disrupting power supply at night so that people are forced to buy inverters. However, these allegations could not be independently confirmed.

The department rejected the allegations

When the electricity department SDO was talked to in this regard, he denied all the allegations and said that electricity is being supplied regularly in the area every day. According to him, the electricity supply was affected only for one day due to the storm, after which electricity is being provided normally continuously. When he was asked about the villagers’ allegation that the electricity supply remains closed from around 11 pm to 6 am, he clearly said, “There is nothing like that.”

On the other hand, the villagers say that if the problem of night power supply is not resolved immediately and the attitude of the officials does not change, then they will be forced to protest by gheraoing the power grid.
