ENG vs PAK: England team all out for 453 in Edgbaston Test, achieved lead of 320 runs

Delhi: In the third Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston, England has taken a huge lead of 320 runs in the first innings. Just before tea time on the second day of the match, the entire England team was reduced to 453 runs. At one time on the first day, England's score was 3 wickets for 39 runs, but after this the batsmen put the team in a strong position.

Smith and Robinson scored half centuries

In England's innings, Jamie Smith and Olly Robinson batted brilliantly in the lower order. Both of them put pressure on Pakistan's bowlers by scoring quick half-centuries. Smith scored 69 runs in 84 balls, which included 9 fours. He came out to bat despite a thumb injury and did not appear to be troubled at all during his innings.

Olly Robinson batted even faster. He scored 50 runs in just 47 balls. His innings included 7 fours and one six. Robinson completed his half-century by hitting a brilliant six over deep midwicket off Mohammad Abbas.

Lawrence and Brook also made important contributions

Before this, Dan Lawrence and Harry Brook took over the innings of England. Both of them made a partnership of 73 runs in the morning session. Lawrence played an innings of 65 runs and during this he hit 8 fours. This is his third half-century in this series and seventh half-century of his Test career, but he once again missed the century.

Harry Brook also lost his wicket after reaching a good position. While taking a run after playing Sam Ayub's ball towards midwicket, he became the victim of a brilliant throw by Shan Masood and was run out.

Archer also created a stir with the bat

Joffra Archer also scored quickly for England in the end. He played an unbeaten inning of 32 runs in 27 balls, which included two sixes. Thanks to this innings of Archer, England was successful in reaching beyond 450 runs.

After tea, Pakistan will come out to bat in the second innings. At the same time, England told that Jamie Smith will not do wicketkeeping in the second innings. In his place, Jordan Cox will take charge behind the wicket. Smith was injured on the finger of his left hand while standing behind the wicket on Robinson's ball on Wednesday.
