Before the Test series against England, Babar Azam took part in Pakistan’s warm-up match against professional county club Select XI in Beckenham. He got injured on his hand while batting. Due to injury he had to leave the field. Now team player Mohammad Abbas has given a big update on Babar, due to which it is believed that he may be out of the first match due to being unfit.
He said, “Whether Babar will play or not will be decided on the day of the match. He did some throwdowns and batting practice today. But for this we will have to follow the advice of the doctors.”
Apart from this, Shan Masood is also injured. Recently he took part in the 2-match Test series played against West Indies. But he could not play in the second match. Masood was out of the second match due to a fracture in his finger. Talking about his injury, Abbas said, “In Shaan’s case also we will rely on the doctors’ advice. Shaan practiced throughout the session and was performing very well.”
