A tragic road accident took place in Suryapet district of Telangana on Wednesday morning. A private electric bus rammed into a truck from behind on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway. Six passengers, including five women, died in the accident. At least 12 people have been injured. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals for treatment.
The bus was going to Eluru
According to initial investigation by the police, the accident occurred at around 5:15 am in Kodad mandal. The private EV bus was going from Hyderabad to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. There were a total of 42 passengers in the bus. Meanwhile, the bus hit a truck moving ahead from behind. The collision was so strong that the passengers sitting in front of the bus suffered the most damage.

Suryapet Superintendent of Police K. Narasimha said that the truck was loaded with heavy poles for industrial use. As soon as the bus collided with the truck, the chain binding these pillars broke. After this the heavy pillars entered the right side of the bus. Due to this, the passengers sitting towards the front of the bus died. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The condition of two injured is serious
According to the police officer, six people have died in the accident. The dead include five women. At least 12 people injured in the accident have been admitted to different hospitals. The condition of two of the injured is said to be serious. Both the seriously injured people have been taken to the hospital in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh for better treatment.
Investigation into the accident continues
Police have collected information about the accident on the basis of preliminary investigation. CM gave instructions to the Chief Secretary
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed grief over the deaths of those killed in the accident. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims. According to an official statement, he directed the Chief Secretary to take necessary steps to provide better treatment to the injured.
