Subhash Ghai told that his initial struggle in the film industry taught him a lot. He said that he is attracted towards new artists because they have hunger, humility and passion to work.
According to the filmmaker, he likes such actors who have less attitude and more enthusiasm towards work. He said that all the artists whose names are associated with him had passion for their work.
In his career, Ghai worked with actors like Akshay Khanna, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai and Jackie Shroff and made them a part of memorable films.
Big lesson learned from 'Bobby'
Subhash Ghai in conversation with veteran filmmaker Raj Kapoor Also mentioned. Giving the example of Raj Kapoor's film 'Mera Naam Joker', he said that the filmmaker plays the most important role in the success or failure of the film.
He said that after the flop of 'Mera Naam Joker', Raj Kapoor made 'Bobby', which proved to be a big hit. This taught Ghai that if a filmmaker wishes, he can achieve great success even with new artists.
Due to this thinking, instead of relying on the main stars, he decided to make films with new faces.
Targeted at 'Star System'
Subhash Ghai also expressed his opinion on the current star system of Bollywood. He said that today he is not able to make films because of this star system. According to him, now a lot of attitude is seen even among small level artists. He would rather work with new artists with talent and passion than work in such an environment.
Subhash Ghai also gave a big update regarding the sequel of his famous film 'Taal' 'Taal 2'. He told that work on the script of the film is going on.
The filmmaker plans to give a chance to new artists in this project also. In such a situation, if 'Taal 2' is made, then the audience can see a pair of new faces and a new style of storytelling by Subhash Ghai.
