Nguyen Viet Quang, Vingroup CEO and deputy chairman, was the highest-paid executive with a salary of VND15.7 billion in the first six months, or VND2.6 billion a month, an increase of 60% year-on-year.
The 58-year-old holds a master’s degree in law and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the National Economics University.
Before joining Vingroup, Quang was a board member and head of the supervisory board at Cao Medical Co., Ltd., a company operating in the medical sector. He has served as Vingroup’s CEO since 2018.
The second-highest paid executive was Nguyen Thu Hang, CEO of Vingroup’s property arm Vinhomes, the biggest property developer in the country.
She received more than VND11 billion in salary and remuneration during the first six months, equivalent to VND1.8 billion per month. The figure was up 41% from the same period last year.
Hang was appointed CEO of Vinhomes in May 2022 and became a board member in April 2023. She is also chairwoman of Vinpearl, the resort and entertainment subsidiary.
Ngo Thi Huong, CEO of Vinpearl, was among the executives with the highest pay. She received VND10 billion in the first half of the year, equivalent to an average of VND1.6 billion per month.

At Vinhomes, chairman Pham Thieu Hoa received VND6.6 billion in remuneration, equivalent to an average of VND1.1 billion per month. Hoa also serves as CEO of VinSpeed, a railway company founded by Vingroup chairman Pham Nhat Vuong.
Pham Thi Thu Hien, former CEO of mall operator Vincom Retail, received around VND1 billion per month.
Vuong, the man behind Vingroup’s success, does not receive a salary or remuneration from the conglomerate. The billionaire is currently chairman of Vingroup, a board member of Vinhomes and CEO of VinFast.
He has a net worth of $36.6 billion, ranking 60th in the world, according to Forbes. He is also Southeast Asia’s richest person.
His wife Pham Thu Huong, the second-richest person in Vietnam and vice chairwoman of Vingroup, received VND3.3 billion in the first six months. Her sister Pham Thuy Hang, also Vingroup vice chairwoman, was paid VND2.8 billion.
Vingroup, the largest listed company in Vietnam, spent nearly VND60 billion on salaries and remuneration for senior executives in the first half, up nearly 50% year-on-year.
Its revenue jumped 72% year-on-year to VND221.92 trillion in the same period, while post-tax profit surged five-fold to VND20.9 trillion.
