Expo 2030 Riyadh: Saudi Arabia gets BIE approval, now preparations will start, guests will come from all over the world

Preparations for Expo 2030 to be held in Riyadh city of Saudi Arabia have now intensified. The General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) has given its approval. After this decision, Saudi Arabia will now invite countries around the world for this big event.

BIE has given final approval to the Registration Dossier for Expo 2030 Riyadh. This approval was received during the General Assembly held in Paris in June 2025. Following this approval, Saudi Arabia has now officially entered the implementation phase of the event.

The Saudi delegation was led by Ibrahim Al-Sultan, Acting CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and Minister of State for Engineers. He said that this approval received in a short time shows the world’s confidence in Saudi Arabia’s capabilities and vision.

BIE Secretary General Dimitri S. Kerkentjes said that after this registration, Saudi Arabia is now ready to welcome the world. This event will run for six months in which talks and new discoveries will be discussed.

According to the information, the organization of Expo 2030 Riyadh will start from 1 October 2030 and will continue till 31 March 2031.

According to the 2026 updates, large packages of infrastructure have been given and many important strategic partnerships have also been made.
