US-Iran Deal: Agreement reached between America and Iran, Qatar made efforts for peace, Strait of Hormuz opened
After the agreement (MoU) between America and Iran, Qatar is now trying its best to stop the war and bring peace in the area. This agreement is being considered a major step for regional security and economic progress. This will not only reduce tension between countries but will also improve the supply of energy and food items around the world.

The official signing of this agreement between America and Iran will be done in Switzerland on Friday, June 19, 2026. Qatar had welcomed this decision on June 15 itself and called it an important step towards lasting peace.
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has expressed happiness over this agreement. Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari said Qatar was helping the mediation being conducted by Pakistan to resolve differences between Washington and Tehran.
Along with this peace agreement, US President Donald Trump has announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and removal of the naval blockade. However, US officials have made it clear that Iran’s frozen assets will be released only when it fulfills the terms of the agreement.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has confirmed that the MoU has been prepared and ending the war in Lebanon is an important part of it. Now for the next 60 days, there will be talks on topics like nuclear programme, missile issues and relaxation of sanctions.
Qatar’s main focus is to secure the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. This will bring the worldwide oil and gas supply back on track and reduce pressure in the global markets.
