Eyewitness of Vietnam accident told the story of battle with death, how the sea swallowed 15 lives in a few seconds

Desk. Fifteen Indians died on Saturday when a ship capsized in the sea near Phu Quoc island in Vietnam. According to the information, there were a total of 36 people on the boat, which included 32 Indian tourists and four local crew members. Of these, 21 people were saved. At the same time, 15 people died who had gone to Vietnam from India to visit. According to the information, all these people were sent to Vietnam on behalf of a mobile company. Vietnam’s largest island, Phu Quoc, is a major tourist destination. It is known for its white sand beaches, coral reefs and island-hopping tours.

Ashish Kumar, distributor of a mobile phone company in Guntur, said that as part of the company’s outing, the tourists were divided into different batches and taken to the island. He said, “We all had gone there as sellers, distributors and employees of Lava Mobile. We reached Vietnam on July 9 and were scheduled to return to India on Sunday morning.” He said, “The incident happened around 1:30 pm local time. The boat had barely moved 300 to 400 meters when it capsized. We were taking pictures and before we could do anything, all this happened.”




  • Nirmal Kumar, resident of Palani, Tamil Nadu, survived the accident. Nirmal told that the speedboat in which they were traveling capsized within a few seconds. It is being told that this happened due to strong waves and perhaps more people boarding than the capacity. Most of the tourists on board the boat were from Tamil Nadu and two people were hospitalized in critical condition.

    Lava Mobiles said in a statement, “At Lava, we are deeply saddened to announce that one of our 14 channel partners and a member of our Lava team have tragically died in a boat accident today near Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones. This is an unimaginable tragedy, and we stand with them in this moment of deep sorrow. We are in constant touch with the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and local authorities, and are working to recover the bodies as soon as possible.” Our immediate priority is to help every affected family, and our teams in both India and Vietnam are with them and providing all possible assistance.”

    Actually, a boat carrying Indian tourists sank in the sea in Vietnam, in which 15 Indians died. According to the Indian Embassy in Hanoi, 10 people from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Andhra Pradesh and 2 from Kerala have died after their boat capsized near Phu Quoc island in Vietnam. The governments of all the states of South India have said that they are working with the Central Government to bring the bodies to their respective states as soon as possible and to provide all possible help to the families of the victims. Apart from PM Modi, President Draupadi Murmu, Chief Ministers of states also expressed grief and condolence over the incident.
