F-16, Sukhoi welcomed Modi in the sky of Indonesia! Overwhelmed Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a trilateral visit on Monday to ensure a free and independent Indo-Pacific region. His tour started from Indonesia. Before landing in Jakarta, Modi’s plane was greeted by the Indonesian army’s F-16, Sukhoi fighter jet as it entered Indonesian airspace.

The F-16 is an American-made high-speed single-engine fighter jet. It is part of the armies of many countries. On the other hand, the Sukhoi-30 is a relatively large, two-seat, twin-engine fighter jet made by Russia. It was used by Russia (Soviet Union) during the Cold War. India also has several squadrons of the Sukhoi-30MKI variant, which has been specially prepared for New Delhi’s needs. The Prime Minister was impressed by the way two fighter jets welcomed Modi in the skies of Indonesia.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was present to welcome Modi at the Jakarta airport on Monday. A bilateral meeting between the two is also scheduled. According to sources, many important issues like BrahMos missile deal, digital payment system may be discussed in the meeting. Modi wrote on his X handle, ‘In 2018, the relationship between the two countries has evolved into a strategic partnership. As a result, the people of India also benefited. We will sit in discussions with the aim of making the partnership between the two countries more dynamic in various fields.
