Fans Hail Salman Khan’s Latest Ads As More Entertaining Than ‘Sikandar’
Mumbai: Despite his recent films not meeting expectations at the box office or with critics, superstar Salman Khan continues to charm audiences, this time through his advertisement appearances.
His latest commercials for SuperMoney UPI have been generating significant buzz online, with many fans admitting they’re enjoying these ads even more than his recent movies.
In one commercial, Salman casually refers to SuperMoney as “Superman” before wrapping up the shoot in a single take and driving off.
Another ad features him forgetting his lines, reading them straight from the script, declaring the job done, and walking off the set with his trademark ease.
In the newest spot, the actor keeps it effortlessly stylish—sporting a blue shirt tucked into brown shorts, complemented by his signature sunglasses.
The actor effortlessly delivers the line, “Belt khareedna hai, watch khareedna hai yaa sunglasses khareedna hai, jo bhi bakwas aapko khareedna hai khareedo par SuperMoney UPI se pay karo, 5% tak aapko cashback milega (If you want to buy a belt, a watch or sunglasses, whatever random stuff you want to buy, go ahead and buy it, but pay through SuperMoney UPI. You can get up to 5% cashback)”
He then turns to the director to confirm if the take is approved, and upon getting a nod, quips, “40 saal se yahi kar raha hoon” (I’ve been doing this for 40 years now).
Fans shared that they are now loving these ads more than the actor’s films.
One fan commented, “bad times for Bollywood when the advertisements are more funny and entertaining than the actual movies they are making atp.”
Another wrote, “Finally, someone knows how to present Salman.”
Another commented, “Bhai k aura ka bilkul shi istema (the right use of Bhai’s aura).”
Another wrote, “Better than Sikandar.”
Another wrote, “Proper use of bhai’s powers.”
One wrote, “I can watch this 100 times. So fun.”
Salman’s latest release, ‘Sikandar’, turned out to be a disappointment for fans, underperforming at the box office with collections of ₹183 crore net in India and ₹232 crore worldwide.
Up next, the actor will be seen in ‘Maatrubhumi’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, which also features Chitrangada Singh in a leading role.
The film was earlier reported to be inspired by the real-life Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces.
However, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “Earlier, the film was inspired by a real event. But as per the request of the Ministry of Defence, Salman Khan and director Apoorva Lakhia reshot the film by adding a fictional spin to the story. Accordingly, he reshot nearly 40% of the film as he added some romantic scenes, backstory, etc. The makers submitted the new cut, hoping that they would get the NOC. But the Ministry still has apprehensions.”
