Farooq Abdullah said- Pakistan should end terrorism in Kashmir, we will never support terrorism.

The biggest threat facing the youth is not terrorism but also drug addiction.

Srinagar. National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said that Pakistan should end the trend of violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah, who has been the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir three times, said that although terrorism has reduced to a great extent, Pakistan’s refusal to accept Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India is giving rise to violence in the region.

Abdullah said, my humble advice to both the countries, my own country and Pakistan, is that the time has come. Let us abandon the path of violence and start exploring the path of peace so that we can live with respect and dignity. On Pahalgam terror attack, he said it was a major blow to the efforts to revive brotherhood in the region. He said it also forced the people of Jammu and Kashmir to take to the streets to protest. Abdullah said it was a clear message to Pakistan that terrorism was being rejected. 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

violence must end

He said that this pain was felt not only by the families who lost their loved ones but also by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Recalling the protests that followed the attack in April last year, Abdullah said, “They (people) came out on the streets without anyone’s advice…They came out voluntarily and said we are not part of this.” He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the people of the valley, have given a strong message to Pakistan that violence must end.

will never support terrorism

He said, I hope that our neighbor has realized that we will never support terrorism and will never be a part of any such war in future. This is not our identity. We are not animals. We are peace loving people and want peace. Enough is enough…this should end here. Abdullah said that the biggest threat facing the youth of Jammu and Kashmir today is not terrorism but the dreadful drug addiction which is hollowing the roots of not only this Union Territory but the entire country.
