Chennai, 24 September 2026: A serious accident took place between a private bus and a car on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway (NH-38) near Thuraimangalam in Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu. Three people died in this accident.
According to reports, four people, including two women, have been injured in an accident on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.
Three people died in collision between car and bus
According to the police, Karthi (38), a resident of Orivayal village in Mudukulathur area of Ramanathapuram district, used to work in Chennai. He had gone to his village with his wife Surya and village friends to attend his brother's wedding.
After the wedding, Karthi, his wife and a friend were returning to Chennai by car when their vehicle collided with the rear of a speeding bus near Thuraimangalam on NH-38.
As soon as information about the accident was received, Perambalur Town Police personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured to Perambalur Government Hospital.
Two persons traveling in the car died on the spot. He has been identified as Orivayalna Kaja (alias Kaliswaran) and Rasikulamna Prabhakaran. Karthi, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital, but he died during treatment.
