FIFA World Cup 2026: Entry of ‘poisonous villain’ in the Mahakumbh of football, fear of snakes in the camps of many teams including Germany-Norway
While the world’s great teams are trying to win the football battle on the field in the FIFA World Cup 2026, away from the playing field, the players are facing a very strange and unexpected challenge. At present this problem is making more headlines than sports. The German team made a great start by defeating Curaçao 7-1 in its very first match of the tournament, but amidst the celebration of this big victory, the entry of an unwanted and poisonous guest in the team’s training camp has created a stir. A dangerous snake has been seen near the base camp of the German team based in America, which has given sleepless nights to the players as well as the support staff.
Captain Joshua Kimmich reveals the secret, copperhead snake seen at the training base
Germany captain Joshua Kimmich himself revealed to the media that on Monday a ‘Copperhead’ snake was seen crawling at his official training base in Winston-Salem (North Carolina). According to Kimich, the local security team immediately alerted the players that this is a very poisonous snake and if it bites someone, they may have to be immediately admitted to the hospital in an emergency. Kimmich said in a light tone, “This snake is not deadly, but it is definitely very dangerous. We are German people and we are not used to seeing such poisonous and dangerous creatures around us.”
Not only Germany, ‘no entry zone’ created near Switzerland camp
This fear of snakes in the Football World Cup is not limited only to the German team, but many other international teams staying in different states of America have also been issued special advisories and warnings by the local administration:
Switzerland team: A large area near the training ground of the Swiss team staying in San Diego has been declared a ‘restricted area’ (No Entry Zone). Players have been given strict instructions not to go towards the bushes even by mistake. Even if the ball goes to that side during practice, players are strictly prohibited from bringing the ball themselves.
Norway team: The Norwegian team, adorned with world class superstars like Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard, is setting up its camp in North Carolina. Local authorities have also issued an alert to Norwegian players, saying that if they see any snake, they should not touch it at all and immediately inform the wildlife team.
World Cup’s new ‘wild’ twist, competition with nature too
In this way, a new and exciting ‘wild twist’ has come in this biggest Mahakumbh of football. This time, the players coming on the field not only have to make a strategy to score goals against the opposing team, but also have to protect themselves from these hair-raising challenges of nature outside the field. It will be interesting to see how the players perform on the field amidst this mental stress.
