FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16: Big battle of knockout from today, know when and what time Canada-Morocco and France-Paraguay matches will start in India.

Read Desk Lucknow: The FIFA World Cup 2026 has now entered its most exciting phase. After the end of the group stage and round of 32, only 16 teams remain in the race for the title. The Round of 16 is starting from July 4, in which two important matches will be played on the first day. In the first match, host Canada will face Morocco, while in the second match, Paraguay will face France. The winning teams of both the matches will make it to the quarter-finals, while the campaign of the losing teams will end here.

Canada vs Morocco: 10:30 PM

The first match of the Round of 16 will be played at 10:30 pm Indian time, in which host Canada will face Morocco. This match will be held in Houston.

Canada had made it to the last-16 by defeating South Africa 1-0 in the round of 32. Earlier, the team also performed impressively in the group stage and entered the knockouts.

Morocco has shown a strong performance throughout the tournament. After a stellar performance in the group stage, they pulled off a major upset by winning 3-2 in the penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands in the Round of 32.

Paraguay vs France: 2:30 pm

The second match of the day will be played at 2:30 pm Indian time, in which Paraguay and France will face each other. This match will be held in Philadelphia.

Paraguay performed brilliantly in this World Cup, first crossing the group stage and then causing a major upset of the tournament by defeating Germany 4-3 in the penalty shootout in the Round of 32.

France, on the other hand, has been among the most balanced and strong teams throughout the tournament. After an impressive performance in the group stage, France strengthened their bid for the Round of 32 by defeating Sweden 3–0. The French team adorned with star players is considered to be the main contender for victory in this match.
