Chief Minister's statement

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had said that the incident is under investigation. He made it clear that the government will not tolerate any attempt to disturb communal harmony in the state.

what did the complainant say

Ramprasad Kelkar, a resident of Taleigao, lodged the complaint based on the video of the October 11 protest viral on social media. He said that in the video, CJP members were seen demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar over irregularities in the SIR and deletion of names from the voter list.

According to Kelkar, he came to know from local news that a woman leader of CJP had sought permission from the North Goa Collector for the protest, which was rejected. The organizers claimed that the demonstration would be peaceful. But Kelkar alleges that the protesters were raising slogans against Hindus. According to him, it seems that this demonstration was done to disturb the peace and harmony of the area.

The district administration did not give permission for the demonstration. Despite this, the police took seven protesters into custody when they entered Azad Maidan. Later, a petition was heard in the Bombay High Court late in the evening of 11 October, after which he was released. All these allegations are based on the complaint and police statement. It remains to be seen what reaction comes from CJP on this.
