Prayagraj. A controversy has arisen over the convoy of mafia Atiq Ahmed's elder son Umar Ahmed while attending the funeral of his brother Aaban. Police have registered a case against about 30 vehicles belonging to the convoy in Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. It is alleged that the people traveling in these vehicles broke the barrier at the toll plaza ignoring the rules and misbehaved with the toll employees.

According to the information, this matter is of August 8. After the death of Atiq Ahmed's younger son Aaban in a road accident, his funeral procession was to be taken out in Prayagraj. Umar Ahmed, lodged in Lucknow jail, was being brought to Prayagraj in a government vehicle after getting parole from the High Court. Meanwhile, a large number of vehicles were following his convoy.
It is alleged that some vehicles of the convoy tried to pass without paying toll at Nawabganj toll plaza located on National Highway-19. When the employees tried to stop the vehicles, they were allegedly abused and threatened. The complaint also states that some vehicles hit the barrier at high speed and broke it. The numbers and CCTV footage of some vehicles have also been provided to the police by the toll management. Nawabganj police have registered a case against 28 named and many unidentified people on the basis of the complaint of the toll manager.
Apart from this, a complaint has also been lodged regarding the convoy at Bhadri Toll Plaza located in Kunda area of Pratapgarh. There have also been allegations of breaking the barrier and alleged misbehavior with the employees. Police are now investigating the case on the basis of CCTV footage and vehicle numbers that have emerged. Officials say that further action will be taken based on the facts that emerge during the investigation.
